Love Me Some Doodlin'
Map of My Heart
Happy
New
Year
Just took these down off of my inspiration board from last year. I love creating these swirly stream-of-conciousness doodles while listening to music. Now, that's stress reducing!
This design is my take on Rebecca Sower's "type sandwiched between wavy lines" motif that she pioneered quite a few years ago. Uniball pen and Prismacolor pencils on Bristol.

Chiaroscuro
Italian, from chiaro clear, light + oscuro obscure, dark
The interplay of light and dark.
I've been fascinated with black and white in my photos, crafting and artwork lately.
A beautiful black and cream colored Argent & Sable moth strolling across a bit of Paper Chase tissue paper.
An A to Z Journal cover I created from an old address book. The flowers are mirror holders, courtesy of Ace Hardware.
A pyramid of decoupaged tubs filled with elegant surprises.

There Are No People • Like Snow People
My friend Carol came in to the studio with a copy of Cloth, Paper, Scissors and we were immediately inspired to create our own renditions of Sue Pelletier's Sparkling Snowmen. Made with vintage bottles, mica glitter and an assortment of treasures, here is a pic our Snow People. We really had a blast making them!

Clean Slate • Time to Create!
Ring in the New!
I love the feeling of a New Year, New Ideas and a brand spankin' New Notebook to put them in.
In honor of the frosty landscape outside my window today, I've decided to create
an altered cover for my notebook with shiny, silvery metal.
It's really simple.
Metal dryer duct tape (sticky backed), a ruler and a ball point pen are all you need.
